Rescue Me

Found this on Cool Hunting. I just love when ordinary day-to-day objects are re-designed, this First Aid kit is a great example. It screams user-friendly and I mean that literally, it's a talking kit, so it walks you through what you need to do in case of emergency. I must get one STAT!

Let Go of My LEGO

Check out the Gizmodo footage of the Lego Secret Vault in Billund, Denmark, where the lil'guys are made. Talk about a walk down memory lane! To complete the experience, if they'd just lay some shaggy carpet and allow me to go barefoot and accidently step on a LEGO that would really hit close to home.

The Cheese to My Macaroni

If you're lucky to live in California, you're lucky to have Paddy Mac. It's a brilliant concept, mac and cheese delivered warm to your door. Does it get any better? Their menu is simple, four varieties to choose from, The Ship, Gourment Mac, Big Paddy Mac, and Truffled Mac. In the words of Rachael Ray, "YUM-O!"

On a Farm

I belong to a CSA called Featherstone Farm. It's actually located just a few miles south of my parent's farm in Wiscoy Valley near Winona Minnesota. Melinda from Minneapolis is a blog author ofSprout, which is all about her experience at Featherstone Farm. I have a great time reading her posts because I know a lot of the people she talks about, it reminds me of home and I eat the veggies they harvest.

Melinda is living there for the summer and helping out on the farm. She's learning all about Wiscoy Valley and organic farming.

Meet Miss Betty and Mister Ducktail

I love it. I do, I really do. WGSN travelled to London to report on a new salon, the coolest salon ever. William and Vanetia Sessel (aka Miss Betty and Mister Ducktail) moved from France to set-up shop on trendy Carnaby Street, their brainchild - It's Something Hell's salon (inspired from a Eddie Cochran song, Somethin' Else). The 1950's themed salon specializes in the throwback look of the pin-up girl and rebel rouser boys (think Johnny Depp ala Cry Baby). If you happen to be in jolly old London I suggest a stop in and get your hair done. You never know, you just may run into Amy Winehouse or maybe even get mistaken for her. But no, no, no. I doubt she'd go, go, go.

Always good for a smile

I love looking at the illustrations at The Small Object. They are so {dare i say} playful. I also love the copy on their intro page.
